What's included?

We will provide all safety gear needed: crampons or microspikes, helmets, etc.

    Exclusions
    • Tip or gratuity
    • Food & drinks
    Please note

Ice Caves are a natural occurrence, formed by the glacier, and changes with the glacier movement and melting of the ice in summer- this may mean the size (even the size of the opening of the cave) can change over time. The cave you see one year may be gone or changed the following year. Our main goal is to visit the Blue Ice Cave as advertised. There are a total of 3-4 Ice Caves we operate from, each one is a little different in appearance, but all of them have some blue in the cave. How blue the color may appear can vary- this can be due to sunlight, and also individual cameras. We may change the cave we intended to visit if rain has lead to flooding, or snow impacts the route. We kindly ask all participants to be understanding if we have to make adjustments due to recent weather. It is for your comfort and safety.

This is suited for ages 8 and up. We may hike for up to 30min over rocky/uneven terrain with varied steepness. This will vary based on the ice cave we visit. This is not suited for anyone with limited mobility. If you are not sure if participation is adviced, please reach out prior to booking. We are happy to advise. ( There is no access for wheelchairs/walkers. Walking sticks may not grip on glacier ice. Guides will not permit holding on to eachother for support as this becomes a safety issue. Please be aware of this before booking)

Driving from Reykjavik to Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon takes at least 5 hours. The journey offers some amazing attractions so we advise travelers to arrive the day before the tour so they can explore them along the way. Jeans are not recommended for glacier activities, but warm clothes are.
