For the Ice Cave fan, this tour is for you. We visit 3 different Ice Caves in this special version of our Ice Cave Tour. 

We begin by meeting your certified and trained Glacier and Ice Cave Guide at the Jokulsarlon Main Parking Lot. There, you will hop into one of our 4X4s which has been specially modified for driving onto glaciers. We may visit caves in the east and west sides of the glacier. 

Once we get to the glacier cap, you guide will brief you on the essentials of glacier safety, and the use of all safety gear. Your guide will share some facts about the glacier, such as the insights about the formation, and current conditions. Depending on the location of the caves (new ones are forming and closing due to the natural occurrence of the ice caves) we may take a short hike under 30min to the cave. 

Once we are at each cave, you will be treated to the brilliant sapphire and aquamarine blues of the glacier ice. The blue is from trapped oxygen from over the many years. The caves may even have unique ice sculptures or formations inside. Make sure your camera and fun poses are ready for all the photos you want.
