We begin at Glacier Lagoons Main Parking Lot. Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon is where enormous icebergs which have fallen off the nearby Vatnajökull glacier, float on an aquamarine lagoon. 

By the glacier lagoon, you will board a large vehicle known as a super jeep. These cars have been custom built to handle Iceland’s rough terrain. Your guide will take you up the slopes of Vatnajökull glacier, through a beautiful world of ice and snow. Vatnajökull is Europes largest glacier. 

After some time in the super jeep, it is time to strap on our safety gear, leave the car behind and start the glacier hike. Your guide will inform you all about glaciers, from how they are formed to how they constantly change. Please note that the difficulty level for this tour is moderate, as the hike can be long and/or a bit steep. If you have any concerns about your abilities, please reach out to us before booking your tour. 

You will then reach the entrance to the ice cave, here you will be given plenty of time to explore and photograph this stunning natural feature. Inside the cave, you’ll find walls of aquamarine and sapphire blue-and even some ice sculptures, formed by the changing of the seasons. Make sure your battery is fully charged, and you have plenty of fun poses ready to go.
